Another great option for an instant cover-up of those blemishes that pop up after a long hard day! This treatment “stick” is a tiny eye-liner sized pen that fits anywhere – I carry it around in my wallet for emergency touch-ups.
This is prescription strength salicylic acid 2% acne medication, which means that by the end of the day, your blemish or pimple will not only be smaller, but also heal faster!
Maybelline® New York PURE CONCEALER Blemish Treatment Stick is a pretty inexpensive option (costs about 6 dollars in drug stores), and lasts a while – I’ve had mine for months. It also lasts the whole day or all night – a perfect illusion of perfection!
The stick is solid but applies smoothly and goes well over foundation and under powder. You can use it on your face, or other problematic parts of the body like the back and chest area. It is very exact due to its size, so you can literally apply a dot over your pimple and not have smudge it all over your face like you would with other concealers.
Great product, a must-have in every purse!

This crafty little pen makes your blemishes disappear, both visually and physically!
I saw a wall full of Neutrogena products what were Buy One Get One 50% off while in RiteAid. I usually use make-up from Sephora, but when I saw Neutrogena® SkinClearing oil-free Concealer I just couldn’t pass up this opportunity – and I got two so that I could get the discount.
Impulse buys such as this one are usually hit or miss, but I was very pleasantly surprised with this product! The key is to choose the concealer that is the exact shade of your skin, which you can do by comparing the concealer with the palm of your hand.
When I got home I immediately tested the product, and not only did the shade match my skin, but it also completely concealed the imperfections on my face! And the best part was that when I washed it off, my blemish was smaller, and by the next day, it was completely gone! This is because the concealer has 0.5% salicylic acid, which helps dry out pimples and clear up pores.
You can also blend in this liquid concealer after applying foundation and before bronzer – your face will look absolutely clear and you don’t have to feel guilty about clogging your pores! It’s like a medicine and make-up in one!
Neutrogena® SkinClearing oil-free Concealer is great! It does exactly what it promises, without the obnoxious Sephora prices (I got two for about 12 bucks).

Let’s face it, your face is what people look at most! Great skin reveals purity and youth … and it’s a great way to improve your look without too much makeup. Whether during the day—when the sun shines a spotlight on all blemishes; or at night—when the shadows accentuate every imperfection, here’s a review of products that I found to actually do what they claim on the packaging.
The first step to clear, supple skin is a great face wash.
If you struggle with blemishes and occasional pimples and blackheads, or just want to refresh your skin, Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Scrub gently exfoliates and cleanses your skin with “micro-scrubbers”. After you wash it off, your face feels a little tingly, which is my favorite sensation after a long stressful day. The product is 2% salicylic acid, which is a mild anti-acne agent. The catch is, you should wash your face in the middle of the day and right before bed. But once you give it a try, you won’t want to deny your face of its twice-daily mini-spa treatment.
Stress and chocolate really mess up the oil balance in your face.
If you find yourself struggling keeping your face clear, add Clean & Clear Persa-Gel to your routine. Persa-Gel contains 10% benzoyl peroxide, the same ingredient in Proactiv. This particular product is smooth and invisible on your skin. It instantly starts acting on blemishes and unclogges pores, which prevents breakouts. I apply it only at night, after I wash my face. Since benzoyl peroxide can bleach certain fabrics though, so be sure to wash it off completely in the morning.
Acne products can dry out skin, however.
This is why, after washing my face and showering, I apply Estee Lauder’s Hydra Complete Hydrating Face Cream. This is a light but surprisingly powerful moisturizer. It is non-comedogenic, which means it won’t clog pores. It leaves your skin smooth and touchable, having the power to fix the most dry and flaky mid-winter skin but never making your skin oily.
And to top of your flawless routine, here are some pearls of wisdom:
- Make sure not to touch or pick at your face what-so-ever!
- Don’t apply makeup to dirty skin; your pores will not be happy.
- Remember, anything that touches your face can deposit oil and dirt into your pores, which can cause those pesky but totally preventable imperfections.
Keep up the good hygiene, eat well, and exercise! A bit of sun does the skin good, too (but be sure to apply sunblock, face cream or foundation with SPF 15 in you’re going to be in the sun for a while).

The next level of gorgeous hair comes from *drum roll* Brazil! The Keratin Complex Soothing Therapy by Peter Coppola is the newest treatment for hair that has become very popular in upscale Upper East Side salons in NYC. And the reason is: it works like a charm!
For six months your hair looks as though it’s a perfect sunny day and you’ve spent an hour blow-dying or straightening it. This treatment actually re-deposits a natural vitamin (keratin) back into your hair. Your hair will be naturally fortified and brilliant for as long as it takes your roots to grow out 4-6 inches.
Don’t get me wrong: this is not a perm. If you have hair that can be both wavy and straight like mine, you will see that it’s even easier to make those sexy waves! Your hair will not frizz in humidity – I can vouch from personal experience, that despite five days of ridiculous rainy weather on a Fourth of July camping trip, every single girl was asking how my hair still looks like it’s out of a salon. And all I used was a bit of Moroccan Oil and a blow-dryer.
However, perfection has its price. Keratin Treatments are about three hundred dollars, and prices vary between salons and may be different for different hair lengths.
You will also need to buy After Keratin Treatment Shampoo and Conditioner. If you feel like spending thirty bucks for each, go ahead and take full advantage of KERATIN CARE SHAMPOO and CONDITIONER by Peter Coppola. If you don’t have much left in your wallet and wouldn’t mind saving a bit, here are your options:
-REJUVENOL KERATIN AFTER TREATMENT: Shampoo and Conditioner
-ADVANTAGE BRAZILIAN Keratin After Treatment: Shampoo and Conditioner
-any other Organic Shampoo that is SODIUM FREE.
You will find these shampoos are very pleasant and they smell great! The shampoo thoroughly cleans your hair without sucking the life out of it; and the conditioner leaves your hair soft and silky. You will be using these every time you wash your hair, and when Keratin’s life span is coming to an end, you won’t want to switch back to your old shampoo!
Spring is probably the best time to get the treatment, so that your hair will be super smooth all throughout the summer.

I recently purchased Microsoft’s Windows 7 Ultimate Edition and needed to set it up to share all of my media files (videos) to be played with my XBOX 360. So I added all of my media files (videos, music etc.) to the windows media player library and turned on the media sharing option in the “Control Panel\Network and Internet\HomeGroup” menu. Everything was perfectly working until I opened up Windows Media Center and ran through the custom setup.
For some reason that screwed up the ownership log on of my shared media files and I wasn’t able to play maybe 20% of my files. It has to do with the Windows Media Player Network Service (WMPNetworkSvc) taking over your shared media files and making them unplayable on your XBOX 360. The following error message came up every time I tried to play a video file:
Cannot Play Video
The file type is not recognized and cannot be played. Either the correct codec (a file that compresses/decompresses audio or video) is not installed or the file is corrupt.
The error also came up with a meaningless error code. Anyway, do the following to fix the ownership of these files.
- Click the Start button
- Search for “administrative tools”
- Click on Administrative Tools
- Double click on the “Services” icon
- Scroll down and double-click on “Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service”
- Click on the “Log On” tab
- Select “Local System Account” with the check boxed un-checked. See screenshot.
- 8. Press “OK” on the bottom and you should be able to play those files now

Who hasn’t stared at the shiny belly ring of that girl in a “barely-there-Victoria’s Secret-leopard-bikini”? Ahh, the sizzling summer rays and cool ocean air…
I did a bunch of research before I got my belly pierced. Asked my friends who had it, surfed the web through professional advice and personal forums, and finally decided I wanted to go through with it. But here’s what they don’t tell you about a navel piercing.
- BACTINE The most common name that comes up when typing in “belly ring” in google is Bactine®. There is an unbelievable amount of controversial reviews of this anti-sceptic/anti-bacterial cleanser. Reviews range from believing that a piercing can’t heal without it, to stories of it being prohibited in Tattoo/Piercing Salons. Personally, I didn’t bother buying Bactine® and can’t say I missed out on anything. Such mixed opinions just aren’t worth the risk.
- SALT BATHS, shot glass methods (putting salt water in a shot glass and cupping it over the entire pierced area), salt water soaked cotton balls, etc., are totally overrated. If they actually do help, then you have to do them twice a day for a half hour for an entire week to get rid of even the smallest amount of puss being produced as the wound is healing (it is normal to develop minor infections, and by this I mean seeing little drop of white-ish discharge occasionally while caring to your piercing). That brings is to what I found to actually work.
- ANTI-BACTERIAL SOAP Dial® soap, anti-bacterial soap with Triclocarban or Trichlorocarbamide, liquid soap, and bath-shower gel are all good ways to clean your piercing (remember to do it once or twice a day!). If you see bothersome puss, use a bit of Neosporin or Triple Antibiotic Ointment once a day. Use a tiny smudge and rub it around the hole of your piercing while gently rotating the piercing. But if the area is really red and swollen, see your doctor right away.
- SWIMMING STRICTLY PROHIBITED is so untrue. Come on, who really waits two months to show off your sexy newly gotten bellybutton ring? Here’s the thing: don’t spend more than a half an hour in water without flushing your piercing down with some soap and clean water. Even if you go to the beach and don’t swim, the sweat from your body can seep into the hole and cause a mild infection. This means, make sure you keep your piercing clean! But don’t overdo it: if you find yourself washing your piercing more than twice a day for many days in a row, chill out!
- TAKES HALF A YEAR TO HEAL technically, yes. But practically, you will only notice it for the first week. For the next two months, you won’t be bothered with it if you keep up the cleaning (and use a bit if ointment occasionally). And before you know it, you won’t remember what your belly looked like without it.
So if you’re over 18 (16 you need your parent with you) and want to spice up your look, this is a great way to add some extra eye candy and boost your confidence! Like a good job, a belly ring also comes with “health” benefits – it motivated me to exercise and eat better, isn’t that nice?

Hair Repair Moroccan Miracle
There is simply no better hair treatment than the Original MOROCCANOIL®. Because unique line of only about a dozen products, this is the biggest kept secret perfect for all types of hair, especially color treated hair that has lost its natural shine.
Personally being a victim of frequently highlighted, blow-dried and straightened hair, I know what it’s like to be frustrated by hair that comes out frizzy despite masks, moose, and all those anti-frizz products they advertise. And if it’s humid, forget it!
My stylist always performed miracles on my hair, but at first I didn’t believe her when she insisted I get and use this product. Then, a half a year later, after being disappointed by other hair oils (even BioSilk couldn’t compare), I happened to see small blue box of The Original MOROCCANOIL®. The bottle inside is actually some sort of fortified glass, drop it every other day and it still doesn’t break though, which I think is pretty classy. So obviously I bought it, and forty bucks later I have much healthier, silkier, and frizz-less hair.
Here’s how professional hair stylists instantly repair the damage and add unbelievable brilliance:
-between the palms of your hands, rub an Advil-sized drop of MOROCCANOIL®
-distribute evenly through towel dried hair after shampooing and conditioning
-blow dry, straighten, and/or curl hair – no moose or heavy styling products needed!
-to top off your lustrous dew, finish with a few sprays of MOROCCANOIL® Gold Shimmer Shine for an incredible better-than-salon look
The bottle is around $40, but hey, it lasts about a year if you apply it every 2-3 days, and the results are just unbelievable!
Visit www.moroccanoil.com for answers to all of your questions about MOROCCANOIL® products.
